There are a few things true about keeping a record of wrongs against someone:

No one is perfect, so there are always enough wrongs to fill every page, every day.

If you have a record of all the wrongs someone else has done to you, you are in a position of power. Your record of wrongs is either a “sword” you can use to slay your foe or it’s a “shield” you can use to deflect any attempts by your foe to defend himself.

If you choose to keep a record of wrongs against someone, you will kill that relationship.

This is not about NOT dealing with your problems! No!

Deal with your problems.
Learn to fight well.
Seek to understand before you are understood.

I’m just asking you to not head into your problems with your big record of wrongs in your arms or in your soul.

I would encourage you...if you are holding a record of wrongs against your spouse...shred it and THEN start working on your problems—not EVERY problem ALL at once—but one at a time.
