Music Mouse is Available Now at etide.io/MMYT

Loud as a Mouse tells the story of Music Mouse, the pioneering intelligent music software instrument created by composer Laurie Spiegel in the 1980s.

At a time when many believed music had reached its limits, Laurie saw something different. Through emerging computer technology, she began exploring a new way to compose. Designed for early personal computers, Music Mouse allowed users to generate music in real time using simple mouse gestures and keyboard shortcuts.

In partnership with Laurie Spiegel, Eventide has re-released Music Mouse for modern computers. This documentary explores its history, its philosophy, and the development process behind its return.
