Episode 6.0 We are now at the abandon Lotus Mine the same spot the Manson Family went looking for the bottomless pit back in 1968-69. Its now a Ghost Mine 41 years later in 2009. We go to one of the exact spots the Manson Family thought the bats were coming from up at Barker Ranch, thinking they were flying out of the cavern leading to the bottomless pit.
We follow the directions of one of the local miners who knows the area along with the stories of when the group of hippies came traveling through here looking for the hole to the bottom of the earth as heard of in the book Helter Skelter.
A trip through the desert that started at the Ghost Town in Ballarat in episode one.
