Acclimating to a LOTUS Lead piece is maybe even more dramatic of a shift than it is for any other mouthpiece.
When you get into the upper register, it becomes even more obvious that “Whoa, I’ve got to recalibrate”.
Why is this? Because the note targets on a LOTUS mouthpiece is simply lower in the upper register.
The good news is that the calibration is literally just throwing weight overboard. You can really simplify your muscle memory, which is a very good thing.
