I am so so SO excited to finally share my first recording on my brand new Marimba One 5.0 octave marimba! The extra octave at the bottom opens up so many more possibilities for my arrangements - including this one! I've always wanted to make this work as a marimba solo but I could never make it work on the 4.0 octave, so three years later I finally made that dream come true!
I was playing around with a few different songs on the marimba as I was trying to figure out what to record first, but ultimately I went with an old favorite. I know I've already covered Lost Girl - twice - but it's one of my favorite themes for one of my favorite characters from Deltarune and I really enjoyed turning it into a 4-mallet solo. Of course this was also a good opportunity to practice mixing with the new marimba before I include it in any bigger ensemble arrangements!
