5 years ago I lost contact with someone who meant the world to me. I made this video because I was stuck in a bad place thinking about them and this britney cover always reminds me of them so I did this as therapy and I feel better now. My first ever game edit. I first played this game in high school in the 00s, and it changed my understanding of what a video game can be forever. It stayed with me and i think i probably replayed it at least another 2 more times over the years, but i replayed it again this year not even realising its the 25th anniversary, and i have fallen in love with it all over again and i think the story hits so much harder for me now as an old. Beautiful story characters, truly it is the bar for cinematic video game experiences for me. I had wanted to do an edit like this for ages but it was hard to approach, given how beautiful the FMV cutscenes are but they only cover a small portion of the story, so i took the plunge and included the regular gameplay cutscenes too, and im not mad at the result. For Yumi, who lent me her copy way back when in school and introduced me to it, and for Julianne who just sat through a 9 hr movie edit of ffx with me ~ praise be to yevon ~
