This is a flip through of all the portraits I made during the recording of my online course “Watercolor Portraits with Acrylic Inks.”
This course is not so much about painting or even portraiture — it is more about letting go of the notion of control. Every time I paint this way, I go through the same struggle, the same dismay and the same jubilation…but it all ends with a feeling of surprise and satisfaction. Something emerges along the way and part of me feels relieved at having survived the experience, part feels alive at having birthed something new.
