This is the longplay of the game Mega Man X5, an action and platform game developed and distributed by Capcom, having been released in 2000 for Playstation in 2000 in Japan and in 2001 in the United States and Europe. The game was also released for PC in 2002.

The story of Mega Man X5 takes place after the events of X4. Here, the story begins when a new scheme to destroy the Maverick Hunters is planned by Sigma, who has been resurrected again (as in X4, it is unknown who revived him or how he did it). Sigma, after conducting research into the origin and design of Zero, decides to discover how to unleash the true power of the red Hunter, hoping to destroy X in the process. Sigma attacks the Maverick Hunters directly, tending to be defeated. When he does so, he spreads the Sigma Virus around the Earth, throwing it into chaos. Meanwhile, a Reploid mercenary named Dynamo is hired by Sigma to make the space colony Eurasia crash into Earth. The Hunters only have 16 hours to avoid impact. With the mission of preventing the collision, the Hunters use two attack options. The first option is to fire a powerful cannon called Enigma at the space colony, hoping to vaporize it, and the second is to launch a space shuttle with a pilot on board. To maximize their chances, X and Zero are sent to collect parts of the two devices. The parts needed to upgrade the Enigma and the space shuttle are held by 8 bosses, and X and Zero must defeat them to obtain the parts. To complicate matters, Dynamo attacks the Hunters' base repeatedly throughout the game, forcing X and Zero to waste precious time fighting him. Here, the heroes must practically race against time, before it is too late.

In the game, we have the possibility to play as Mega Man X and Zero, this time being able to switch between them. The graphics and gameplay have been improved. New armors have also been added, such as the Fourth Armor (allows you to charge the bosses' weapons), Falcon Armor (allows X to fly for a few seconds, but you can't charge the bosses' weapons), Gaia Armor (allows X to step on spikes and have a charged shot in less than 2 seconds, but disables all the bosses' weapons while wearing it) and the Ultimate Armor, while Zero can only equip the Black Armor (which improves all of his stats). There are also hearts and subtanks in the game.

This is an improvement version, made by acediez, who sought to correct the problems of the original version, which did not allow sharing hearts between X and Zero, in addition to changing some of Zero's attack commands and using some music that was hidden from the original version. Here, the original names of the bosses were also kept instead of the American names (which referenced Guns'n Roses). I decided to make the video in two playthroughs: one entirely with X and the other with Zero (only using X to get the armors and hearts). The video was made by getting the best ending for each character, in addition to all the items and the Ultimate and Black Armors. I also included English subtitles for the opening and ending songs.
