This is the longplay of the game Knights of The Round, action and beat 'n up game produced and distributed by Capcom, released in Arcades in 1991 and in Super Nintendo in 1994.

As the game's name suggests, Knights of the Round is a game about King Arthur and his knights, better known as the Knights of the Round Table, set in the medieval era, where knights roamed kingdoms in search of fame and glory.

The game's story begins with Arthur, who was training to be a great knight, removing the sacred sword Excalibur from the rock. After removing it, Arthur realized his destiny was to become the first King of the Britons. Knights of the Round does not follow the original story. In the game, once Arthur removes Excalibur from the stone, as an adult, he receives a mission from the wizard Merlin: to find the Holy Grail so that it does not fall into the wrong hands, as the Grail is an artifact with terrible powers if it is in such hands. The Grail is stolen and ends up in the hands of the evil King Garibaldi. On this quest to recover the Grail and unify Britain, King Arthur will be accompanied by two other heroes: Lancelot and Percival.

The progression is the standard horizontal side-scrolling, with the possibility of reaching different depths, just like in the classic Capcom beat 'em ups. Combos are performed by pressing the "Y" button twice (for example, double-tapping forward + Y allows for a stronger, more direct attack, while pressing up + Y allows you to attack the opponent). There's also a block button, essential for defeating certain enemies in the game. The player can even ride horses while attacking enemies. The game doesn't use a special energy bar, so the cost of using special moves (which hit enemies in a circular motion) is deducted from the player's health bar. The game features a level-up system similar to an action RPG, with fighters automatically upgrading to new weapons and armor as they progress. At each level, characters undergo a complete visual transformation, something quite innovative for the game's time. To do this, the player must defeat enemies, break barrels, and collect treasures to gain points and food to recharge energy and also earn points. Some larger items can be broken into smaller ones, earning more points. We can play as three characters: Percival has the greatest physical strength but is slower; Lancelot It has weaker attacks, but is much more agile, and King Arthur has balanced stats.

The game has a good soundtrack, nice graphics, and a complete medieval atmosphere. The difficulty level is quite high, very arcade-style, which requires considerable skill from players.

This is the second video of the game, recorded in two players, with the characters Lancelot and Percival, and without obtaining the Grail (unlike the previous run, which was done only with Arthur obtaining the Grail). I hope you enjoy it.
