Lone Peak hike to 11,251 ft. One of the Monarch Peaks in the Wasatch Mountain Range and, in my opinion, the most picturesque with its magnificent West Face extending vertically upward over 600 ft. from its base in the Cirque. Gaining Lone Peak's highpoint needs good balance and.. let's face it, ignoring fear. Not that I didn't have any, I just chose not to look down. In addition, I'd sincerely like to thank the fellow hikers who coached me along the final 80 yards of exposed razorback to the Peak. Mahalo. 2014-08-24.
