The Super Mario 64 remake for the Nintendo DS was my very first videogame on my very first console. That's why it will always hold a special place in my heart. Also the music of this game influenced me a lot. Above all, I found the theme of the water levels "Jolly Roger Bay" and "Dire Dire Docks" beautiful from the first listening and whenever I hear the melody it reminds me of a simle and carefree time. I wouldn't want to trade those memories for anything in this world.

The Lake Theme has always seemed to me like the hardest and most difficult to remix. Not only because of its composition and unusual timechanges, but also because for me it is the most emotional music of all tracks in the Gen 4 games. Therefore I had great respect for making something new out of it.
Throughout the production process I got to know it more and more and once again saw the genius behind the whole Generation 4 soundtrack.
For this track I worked together with Manuel Emrich, a very good friend of mine. We recorded his acoustic drums and some additional samples, which you can hear in the song.
I hope you like what I came up with this time. If you do, please let me know.
Also I am absolutely stunned that we reached 1.000 subscribers and therefore I have a little present for you. Ill talk about it more in the next video.
