On the afternoon of August 20, 2022 the Locust Heights & Western Railroad of Clarksburg, WV hosted their first photo charter since 2019. All of the little road's equipment was featured, with the spotlight of course on Keith Mason's Class A Climax. Home-built in 1974, the unique geared steam engine has been pulling trains on the 3/4 mile railroad for nearly 50 years. The LH&W normally operates only on Wednesday evenings, but this photo charter offered a rare opportunity to visit on a weekend and get some great photos as the sun dropped low.
