After six years of living in Thailand, I'm reflecting on the incredible journey and all the lessons I've learned! What started as a 3-6 month holiday in August 2019 turned into a permanent move, especially after the world shut down. While many left, I knew Thailand was where I needed to be.
In this video, I'm sharing the unexpected realities of expat life, from not learning the language (yet!) to realizing you don't need to be rich to make it work. I've grown so much, learning to be alone in a foreign country, understanding that the "grass isn't always greener," and seeing Thailand for what it truly is – not just a holiday destination.
I'll also be talking about the challenges I've faced, the importance of relying on yourself, and how my perspective on life and Thailand has completely shifted. It's not always easy, but it's a life I've built and learned to love.
