VIDEO DESCRIPTION:

In this video, Megz and Court invite viewers into their full-time home on wheels—a 100-square-foot truck bed camper. This detailed tour is perfect for anyone considering living in a small travel trailer or those interested in the idea of downsizing and embracing a minimalist lifestyle on the road. Megz and Court share how they’ve adapted to life in a compact space and offer practical tips for making the most out of every square inch.

Kitchen and Cooking Area
The kitchen is the heart of Megz and Court’s camper, and it’s easy to see why. Despite the small space, they’ve managed to create a fully functional cooking area that feels just like home. The camper’s original kitchen setup from 2001 has been cosmetically upgraded with peel-and-stick countertops, tiles, and freshly painted cabinets. They’ve added practical touches like a magnetic knife block and spice holders, as well as a compact trash bin to maximize efficiency. With a three-burner stove and an oven, they can prepare most of their meals on the road, preserving their propane by opting to cook on the stovetop rather than using the oven. The kitchen’s large windows provide stunning views, making cooking in beautiful, remote locations even more enjoyable.

Dining and Living Space
The U-shaped dinette serves as the camper’s dining room, living room, and workspace. This area is central to their daily routine, offering plenty of room for both Megz and Court to work remotely while also doubling as a cozy spot for meals and relaxation. The table is covered with the same peel-and-stick butcher block as the kitchen, creating a cohesive look. The overhead cabinets above the dinette are used for storage, housing everything from clothes to electronics and their Starlink setup. They’ve also made practical use of space by converting part of the dinette into a sleeping area for their dog, Ka, ensuring everyone has their own space to rest.

Bedroom Comfort
In the bedroom, Megz and Court have a standard RV queen-sized mattress, which fits comfortably within the space. Storage is plentiful, with mirrored closets on either side of the bed for hanging clothes, and additional space for seasonal items. They’ve added personal touches to make the space feel more like home, including a monitor for watching shows on rainy days. Above the bed is an emergency hatch, which not only provides airflow but also offers access to the walkable roof, perfect for stargazing on clear nights.

Practical Bathroom Setup
The camper’s wet bath is both functional and compact, featuring a flushing toilet and a shower. They’ve made small but impactful upgrades, such as peel-and-stick tiles and a new shower head, which greatly improves their shower experience. The shower curtain can be pulled around to protect the toilet area, ensuring the entire space remains practical and easy to clean. Despite its small size, the bathroom meets all their needs for full-time living on the road.

Exterior Features and Off-Road Capabilities
Megz and Court highlight the camper’s impressive off-road capabilities, which are essential for their adventurous lifestyle. The fiberglass exterior is built to withstand harsh weather, and the stable lift system allows them to easily detach the camper from the truck, making maintenance and setup a breeze. The camper is equipped with a 30-amp plug-in, and while it doesn’t have solar power, they carry a 3500W generator to power their AC unit and recharge batteries. The outdoor shower is perfect for washing their dog after hikes, and the ample storage space outside the camper allows them to carry all the essentials they need for life on the road.

The Journey to Full-Time Travel
Megz and Court share their journey from conventional lifestyles to living full-time in a truck bed camper. They discuss the importance of not letting social norms or the pressure for perfection prevent anyone from starting their own adventure. For them, the key to making this lifestyle work is communication and enjoying the journey together. They encourage viewers to focus on the experiences and freedom that come with this lifestyle, rather than getting caught up in having the perfect setup.
