My favourite Galarian Pokémon has been found! Shiny Sizzlipede, much like Galarian Farftech’d doesn’t have the best shiny but the evolution is… wow. I love the design, how imposing it looks and the shiny is subtly great too. I really can’t wait to carry on my adventure through Galar with this shiny.
For those of you who don’t know, the abilities Flash Fire, Storm Drain and Harvest increase the chance of finding a Fire, Water and Grass type respectively in random encounters. Identical to Static and Magnet Pull from previous generations. I love this feature and honestly believe this is a long, long overdue inclusion. It has taken us five generations to get new overworld impacting abilities like that.
Sorry for the intro needing to be remade with a new video. No matter how many times I tried to import it to Premiere Pro, it would say “file incomplete”. I wanted to keep the format of my videos correct so remade the intro, but the audio is original from before the hunt started. Sorry about that!

My third and final Alolan starter shines a lot sooner than I was expecting. All three have come under odds, wow. I have a few hunts left I want to do in Gen 7 so I really wanted to get this one as soon as possible. This was left over from my Litten hunt over a year ago as of uploading this today now so it took around 1200 more after having stopped Popplio back then. I honestly thought this was going to take a while to appear but my luck has been pretty decent lately I guess.
I still can’t believe it, shocked. It looks so good. It’s again one of those Pokemon you think you’re going to potentially miss when hunting it but it’s very, very different. It looks so good! I love all of the starters in this Gen and Popplio might actually be my favourite.
I’ve had some really good luck lately but it’s back to roamers for me. Still going it at HeartGold for Raikou. See you guys in the next video !

Hitmontop is my favourite Fighting type & Tyrogue is not often hunted in these games so it made sense to add this hunt to my Dream Team file. Im not the biggest fan of summary screen hunts as I like to see the sparkles in the encounters but thats not always possible in the generations I want to get my targets in. All that said, Im very happy this shined just over half odds. This is a really nice shiny which as I said, you dont see too often.
I liked Hitmontop as a kid but I could never get it because I didnt know how to evolve it, lol. I eventually was gifted a Players Guide which helped me get my Hitmontop and it has been one of my favourites since. Glad to have found another member of my HeartGold DTQ. Getting close to finishing it off with Ponyta and then moving onto the stuff I want to hunt in Kanto!

The 4th member of my HeartGold Dream Team Quest shines after a whopping 27,462 encounters! I always loved Miltank & delighted to add its beautiful shiny to my ever-growing roster. She may have taken a while but I don’t mind as I didn’t need to phase. I thought for sure, considering my general phase luck, that I would get a Noctowl or Farfetch’d or two.
I love the blue, such a stark contrasting difference. Miltank is obviously very infamous for its role in the Johto games with Whitney so it feels good to have a special one of my own with a pretty decent nature to boot.
This was a level 35 repel trick as explained in the intro with Miltank coming at 49% of the time morning, day or night.
Next up is Tyrogue via soft reset in Mt.Mortar which Ill probably get around to next month after Safari Week has finished & I clear some other hunts.

An absolute dream shiny has been obtained. Shiny Mew is just gorgeous. The blue in 3rd Gen is so light it almost becomes transparent.
I attended the Manchester Arena in 2003-4 to pick up a Mystery Mew for my FireRed version with my Dad and brother. This was the first 3rd Gen event I could go to so showing off the event one is really special to me. I always knew I’d get around to hunting this eventually and as I say in the video, I did start this only to be put off by the encounters. In retrospect it’s not really difficult at all. I did this while double hunting next to Steelix too.
Showing it off in Colosseum is I think was the main reason I hunted it now rather than later because I’ve been playing it a bit lately and just needed to see those sparkles in the 3D arena.
If you’re wondering how I got to Faraway Island, I did have to use an Action Replay supplied by a very good friend (seriously, they’re expensive nowadays!). Unfortunately, outside of glitches there’s no way to hunt this thing other than to use an AR. Please be understanding in the comments. It’s 2019, it doesn’t matter how people get event items. Yeah it’s cool to do stuff legitimately sometimes but at the end of the day, the result is the same. A shiny!

A brand new challenge and not a bad way to start this quest. I decided to do a Water type mono challenge last year and I’ve finally started it with this Shiny Mudkip. I haven’t found a shiny female starter in a long time too so it was nice to get one. She shined just under odds after only one Poochyena.
I did hunt a Mudkip a few years ago but I wanted to fully evolve this one as I kept the original one as a Marshtomp.
I hope you’re excited to see this quest unfold. I’m really looking forward to hunting a lot of these targets like Corphish and Relicanth which are extremely rare in Gen 3 or at least not hunted very much.
If you’ve never done a monotype challenge, I’d really recommend it. It’s a fun way to play through any game.

Bit of a long one for this Genie but he decided to shine in a batch of decent luck for me recently. This shiny is quite underrated imo. I know we say that a lot as shiny hunters but its the truth. The deep purple particularly on the Therian Forme is different to the purple on the likes of Mudkip etc. I like it a lot.
This hunt is quite unique in a sense due to how its performed via the dex for maximum optimisation. Its necessary to have a Thundurus or Tornadus in your dex prior to starting and then you register the Formes page using the tick. Pressing select will jump you directly to the page. Its simply a case of watching the cutscene and then pressing the page to view if there is a shiny or not. The only other Pokemon this is beneficial for would be the fossils. If you revive 5 fossils and then check the form page, youll skip needing to check the party individually which is very interesting in my opinion. Im not sure if this is unique to Gen 5 or its something that you can do in later generations.
These arent really considered roamers due to the way its ideal to hunt them and are commonly referred to as a pseudo-roamer. Personally, they feel more like a static encounter hunt more than anything. With only 3 Routes to appear on too depending on the time of day, its a bit strange to add them to my roamer quest so theyre just something I want to do as random hunts as I appreciate their shinies.
