Shiny Lapras appears very quickly for me as my 2nd team member for my Dream Team Quest. Always really liked this shiny and I got a great nature for it too. I was initially planning to hunt this in Gen III but I much prefer it in 4th Gen after having watched other videos on it. Love the purple on it and it's walking sprite behind me is just incredible.
Next up is Steelix, at Cliff Cave. Hopefully it's another fast but if not, it's a 100% repel trick so it doesn't matter how long it takes. Really keen to get this quest done this year so I can hunt the roaming Latios/Latias in Kanto.

Shiny Dratini appears just shy of 10,000 seen for my FireRed Dream Team member #4! I had a decent feeling this would be a kind hunt after Eevee took 25,000. Considering this was a 3 in 1 reset hunt, I dont think it was all that bad plus I streamed this hunt exclusively too which always helps pass the time quicker.
This line is a popular shiny hunt for obvious reasons. Its a classic Kanto Pokemon that is a very nice shiny and the ways you hunt it in Gen 3 and 4, in particular, are very easy. Id love to try for one in Platinum one day, who knows.
Next up is Omanyte though Im considering Shelder out of order but I dont know yet. Well see.

Completely lost for words even still. Shiny Manaphy after a mere 1,395 eggs hatched. It feels surreal to be uploading this video and typing this description out. The shiny of all shinies honestly. Its such a beautiful, elegant colour as well. I really, really did not think it was going to shine so quickly.
Theres a lot to say in this description. I want to start by saying a massive thanks to both Cyal (TheUnderdog2020) & Mark (ShinyHunterSandslash). Weve all talked a lot about this hunt for a number of years and even though Im the final one to get it, I need to acknowledge the motivation that kept us going. Youre legends, lads.

Secondly, this hunt was not fun to prepare. In total, I played through 12 copies of Pokemon Ranger and received 8 eggs. It wasnt until we discovered the Ranger Net trick when I was on my 5th playthrough. Shoutout to Cyal for spotting that. I found some cheap copies of Ranger on Ebay, game stores and charity shops. Ive since sold them for roughly the same prize but I NEVER want to play through Ranger again. Awful game lol.
Thirdly, this method was super interesting and it stemmed from the idea that if you could reduce the idle time a system has so its preparing a save file or preparing to receive eggs, it would be better over time. I truly believe this is the fastest way to hunt this provided youre able to get the resources. It was an enjoyable hunt that required a lot of attention and if youre genuinely interested in trying this hunt for yourself, please try it. Id love to hear your thoughts.
Also you may note that the date is different (I found it on the 9th). Well due to how RNG works in Gen 4 (and 5 I think) when I was playing two systems at once, on the same date, at the same time, I was hitting the same frame a few times when producing a new save file. I would get the same Trainer ID (and secret ID) across two different games. To counter this, Matt/AbsolBlogsPokemon suggested I have each system on different dates to ensure I wasnt getting save files which were clones of each other. It worked, thanks Matt.
Lastly, I have included an unedited version of the encounter to show legitimacy. There is a detailed explanation as to why I feel its necessary in this case to avoid any claims of hacking/falsehood. If you have any questions, please let me know and Ill do my best to provide you with reassurance provided youre polite or civil.
In order to this method, youll need 4 copies of Diamond and Pearl (collective), 8 Ranger eggs, 4 systems. I dont wish to claim this as the best method. Best is arbitrary. You may find it more comfortable to hunt using 1 egg or 4 eggs, who knows. Do what you think is best.

The second phase for Shiny Shellder ends with a Shiny Horsea. I was hoping for one of these as I don’t have one yet & its a really nice shiny! Kingdra is a very nostalgic Pokemon as I grew up playing Gen 2. I mentioned in the video that I’d love to get one in Gen 2 someday and I fully intend to.
I’m already close to odds for Shellder on phase 3 so here’s hoping this hunt will end soon.

Seriously, how nice does this look in 3rd Gen? This is an absolute dream to obtain. This wasnt my initial 10k sub special that I had planned but it took a lot longer than I was hoping for so I decided to just make it that. This hunt was started in December of last year (2017) so it took around 10 months though I did have regular breaks from it to get other targets. This is my 2nd shiny roamer as of yet.
This hunt probably seems like fresh hell but honestly, if youre consistent with around 100 per day its not too bad. I hunted on two systems for maximum efficiency. I feel like a third might have slowed me down but I dont know for sure. People have asked me for an average time per reset but the truth is, I cant say for certain. Everyone who hunts a roamer will do so at different speeds to the RNG element on whether theyre on the route or not.
I hope you enjoy this video, I put a lot of effort into it for sure. Thank you to each and every one of my subscribers. I will be doing more hunts like this in the future for sure as I really like roamers at the moment.
This was also obtained using a legitimate copy of FireRed + capture card. This was not obtained using an emulator.

Shiny Chansey caught from FireRed LeafGreen Safari Zone. Heres a video I was beginning to think I would never make and upload for you guys to watch. This is by far my proudest and rarest shiny currently in my collection.
I had seen 4 Chansey in total before catching which is a little under the expected amount using the Bait trick though when you consider that I threw a ball at the first one, 3 in total is very generous in terms of RNG. The heartbreak of seeing two of them flee during Safari Week first turn, first bait was horrendous and it did knock my confidence a bit. After a small break, I knew I had to catch her and I wasnt going to stop phasing until I did. Literally two hours after finishing my Roamer Quest on stream, I found her again and well, the video will do the rest of the talking. RNG is cruel but it can be so kind as well. I keep saying this but I dont think Ill ever top that night as a shiny hunter.
Also really random but I was listening to Billie Eilish when I found her. Shout out to you Billie.
In terms of stats;
Chansey #1 took 25 phases to appear totaling 194,086 encounters
Chansey #2 took 15 phases to appear totaling 104,044 encounters
Chansey #3 took 2 phases to appear totaling 12,704 encounters
Chansey #4 took 4 phases to appear totaling 18,096 encounters (caught)
In total - 328,930 encounters to catch her. Proud!

The concept of a wild Metagross is quite incredible and Im so glad I got this. I really enjoyed this hunt a lot and the encounters were a lot faster than I originally thought they would be. I have a ton of hunts planned like this and I absolutely will be doing more in the future.
To do this hunt, you need to increase your Entralink Black and White Levels to 21 each which will permit you access to Exploring Power Level 3, which will increase the liklihood of seeing Rustling Grass/Dust Clouds/Rippling Water and finally Lucky Power Level 2.
Lucky Power 2 increase the chances of finding rare Pokémon so it increases the lower % targets even higher, something 5% goes to 10% for example.
Lucky Power 3 cannot be used for full odds hunting as it decreases the odds to 1/4096 from 1/8192.
Im a proud owner of a WILD Metagross thats shiny! Insane!

My 6th Shiny Roamer and one of my dream shinies from Platinum - Shiny Moltres after 16,942 Pokemon seen. This one took a while with needing to go double odds but I’m so happy to have this completed. I love this sprite and it’s a major reason why I opted to hunt the Roamer instead of going for it in HG/SS. This hunt was initially started back in December 2018 but I took a few breaks here and there to finish and try some other projects. Very proud of this one.
This is the 6th target for my Roamer quest in which I try for every shiny Roaming Pokemon. Next up is probably Entei in FireRed or Latias in HeartGold, haven’t quite decided yet.
This is a super cool way of hunting Roamers as all three can be found on the same save file. After I found and caught shiny Zapdos, I beat the Elite Four again and the Birds will have a new spawn point after speaking to Prof.Oak in Eterna City. They generate each reset (saved in front of Oak) with a new set of stats etc so I knew they could be shiny again even though at times I had silly doubts.

I cant believe the phase luck! First phase Shiny Trapinch, under odds. Im not sure whats going on with this file but long may it continue with the remaining hunts and ones planned for post-game!
Shes such a beauty. I love the dark green colours and the line across her body. I truly adore this line. I say in the video that Trapinch is quite a nostalgic Pokemon for me as I used one on my first playthrough to possess a shiny one in her original generation, I couldnt be happier honestly. Vibrava and Flygon are some of my favourite Pokemon designs, period.
I hope you enjoy the Colosseum showcase. Sadly Flygons 3D model in Colosseum is a little disappointed in its shiny form but Vibrava is a real beauty.
