The concept of a wild Metagross is quite incredible and I'm so glad I got this. I really enjoyed this hunt a lot and the encounters were a lot faster than I originally thought they would be. I have a ton of hunts planned like this and I absolutely will be doing more in the future.
To do this hunt, you need to increase your Entralink Black and White Levels to 21 each which will permit you access to Exploring Power Level 3, which will increase the liklihood of seeing Rustling Grass/Dust Clouds/Rippling Water and finally Lucky Power Level 2.
Lucky Power 2 increase the chances of finding rare Pokémon so it increases the lower % targets even higher, something 5% goes to 10% for example.
Lucky Power 3 cannot be used for full odds hunting as it decreases the odds to 1/4096 from 1/8192.

My 6th Shiny Roamer and one of my dream shinies from Platinum - Shiny Moltres after 16,942 Pokemon seen. This one took a while with needing to go double odds but I’m so happy to have this completed. I love this sprite and it’s a major reason why I opted to hunt the Roamer instead of going for it in HG/SS. This hunt was initially started back in December 2018 but I took a few breaks here and there to finish and try some other projects. Very proud of this one.
This is the 6th target for my Roamer quest in which I try for every shiny Roaming Pokemon. Next up is probably Entei in FireRed or Latias in HeartGold, haven’t quite decided yet.
This is a super cool way of hunting Roamers as all three can be found on the same save file. After I found and caught shiny Zapdos, I beat the Elite Four again and the Birds will have a new spawn point after speaking to Prof.Oak in Eterna City. They generate each reset (saved in front of Oak) with a new set of stats etc so I knew they could be shiny again even though at times I had silly doubts.

I decided to return to Gen 7 to do some hunts aside my main hunt in Sapphire. Im enjoying these games again. I know theyre not for everyone but I quite enjoyed Gen 7.
Im not planning too many more Island Scan targets but maybe the starters will keep me occupied during my 1/8192 hunt.

I cant believe the phase luck! First phase Shiny Trapinch, under odds. Im not sure whats going on with this file but long may it continue with the remaining hunts and ones planned for post-game!
Shes such a beauty. I love the dark green colours and the line across her body. I truly adore this line. I say in the video that Trapinch is quite a nostalgic Pokemon for me as I used one on my first playthrough to possess a shiny one in her original generation, I couldnt be happier honestly. Vibrava and Flygon are some of my favourite Pokemon designs, period.
I hope you enjoy the Colosseum showcase. Sadly Flygons 3D model in Colosseum is a little disappointed in its shiny form but Vibrava is a real beauty.

My third and final FireRed/LeafGreen Roaming Legendary Beast shined rather quickly much like Raikou after “only” 3,134 soft resets. I actually had a feeling it would be a quick one as I went to double odds (16,000+) for Moltres in Platinum for my previous roamer.
To say that I own all three Roaming Shiny Beasts in 3rd Gen is absolutely surreal. I still can’t believe it fully even though I’ve finished editing the video as of writing this. It’s insane. Suicune really tested me going over double odds but I’m so glad I persisted with this project. This is my 7th shiny Roamer in total. I think next up will be Roaming Latias in HeartGold.
Entei in 3rd Gen didn’t really grab me at first but seeing it shiny on my DS screen like that was something I’ll never forget. I really, really like the colouring. It’s nice in 4th Gen but it’s not as nice as this one in my opinion. The added bonus of showing it in Colosseum was also really great too as it looks unique in the 3D models.
The only annoying thing about this video is I had to, unfortunately, use an R4 cart to take the Entei from LeafGreen (not shiny) to determine the location of the shiny in FireRed. My link cable stopped working a while back and I just never got around to replacing it. I back up my saves anyway for safety so theres absolutely no issue in doing this.

In my opinion, this is one of the most underrated shinies in the series. Mantine is quite rare in its normal form, nevermind its shiny form. Its a maximum 10% in Gen 2 and 4 and in Gen 5 its still 10-20%. Im so happy to have this in my collection. Managed to avoid the duplicate Tentacruel too!
This is a slow repel trick, I wont lie to you. If you do this be prepared to get frustrated at times. Its so worth it though.

An incredibly rare shiny in Gen 3 despite being 100% in most places, Shiny Barboach after yet another under odds hunt in this file. This is an extremely underrated shiny in my opinion & Whiscash is really nice. Ive used this line on a playthrough before and theyre quite useful. Yet another rare Gen 3 shiny added to my collection.
The Super Rod mechanics are the main reason why this is quite under hunted but like with most hunts, you do get used to it. Once I found something to watch alongside this hunt, it really wasnt too bad at all. Ive got Carvanha and Corphish hunt next though so ask me again in another month or two whether I feel the same.

The quickest hunt of this quest so far after only 2,530 random encounters, Cubchoo becomes the 4th member of my White Dream Team. I really like this shiny and its not something you see too often. Cubchoo is adorable.
I decided to move from Route 7 to Twist Mountain and do this slow repel trick and Im very glad I decided to do just that. I would have gladly taken a Cryogonal but Im glad I didnt have to phase to be honest. This repel trick was kinda slow at about 125 an hour which is down from Gen Vs usual 150-175 an hour average (albeit I was in a cave too).
Im making great progress on this quest and its nearing the end already, crazy. Litwick is up next, backtracking to Celestial Tower.
