The Holy Grail of attractive graphic overlays like lower thirds, logos, or titles on top of your live video is using an alpha channel to have true transparency, without the ugly artifacts of simple Chroma or Luma Keys alone. In this video I'll show what it takes to get graphics which include a transparent alpha channel from your computer into your video switcher to achieve this high-end, professional, broadcast-quality look using separate Fill/Key output from a DeckLink or UltraStudio device.
I'll cover the concepts to make this happen, and demo using H2R Graphics, OBS, a DeckLink card, and the Downstream Key on an ATEM Switcher.
