A company called Aodelan has released the ZC-4, a LANC zoom controller that is designed to control a lot more about Sony (and other) camcorders than just zoom and focus... you can also control Gain, Shutter, White Balance, Iris, ND, and even navigate the camera menu system. All at less than 10% the price of the Sony RM-30BP that it copies (and improves upon).
