I am using the Buchla 208c music Easel Command along with the Make Noise 0-ctrl as a stand in for the 218 touch controller. I am using annotations to try to teach some of my thought process when I'm making these improvisations. This patch explores some of the possibilities by connecting the sequential voltage to the pitch of the modulation oscillator in low mode. In this video, I'm using opposing rhythms between the square wave creating clicks and the envelope generator in self mode changing timbre of the complex oscillator. This is a really simple patch using only 4 connections and one shorting bar. It's possible to get so much sound just by making small CV moves on the faders, and I also found that you can make a lot of rhythms using AM with panning. I am using the west coast technique of starting with something and spinning it out like a centrifuge. I'm processing the sound through a few eurorack modules that I will detail below. Hopefully this camera angle also helps you learn something!
