Little Rock is forecast to hit a historic heat streak on Thursday as continued hot and dry weather worsens drought and wildfire conditions throughout Arkansas.
Thursday marked the ninth consecutive day high temperatures in Little Rock met or exceeded 100 degrees. This will be the first time the city has experienced this many consecutive days of triple digit heat since 2012, Justin Condry, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in North Little Rock said. The projected high temperature on Thursday is 102 degrees, he said.
