Little Macaroni wants his share of watermelon. Eventually he comes to his mother's dish of watermelon. Although she keeps pushing him away and nipping him he knows his mother, Ayu, will not hurt him. Macaroni was very small because Ayu did not produce any milk so he had very little colostrum. He was nursed by Momiji who had given birth to Choco and Donut 6 days earlier but at that point there was very little colostrum in Momiji's milk.
