This morning, Easter Saturday, a little bird (we believe a male gold crest) allowed me to get incredibly close. He was apparently perplexed at his reflection on the windscreen of Julia's car. Over the last few days he has been staring at and trying to interact with his own reflection in the near side mirror, he has been able to do this as there are 2 rubber band across it as part of a recent repair which he can hold on to. Amazingly tame, and not a very common bird. He seems to be nesting in our front garden.
A very tiny bird, slightly smaller than a wren I think.
Any names suggested?
