How I plan my unit studies: youtu.be/gkwcuK7EJfc This video is a year old and I’ve simplified the process since then. We don’t do morning basket for most units. We also use a separate program for Grammar, writing, etc so I can tailor the program to where the kids are at. If I had infinite time, I would still write this for them on a different level for each one with topical literature for each child. I will pull in novel studies or pre-done things from time-to-time. I also only include math as a bonus now. I’m learning my limits and sometimes simpler is better. :)

I share my unit study lesson plans for free on my website: tickettolearning.com I usually share lessons AFTER I complete the units with my kids so I can add any information or resources we found useful. I don't always share every unit, but I do my best. :)

____ Great Places to Get Books _____

- Local Library - I realize this isn't an option for everyone, but I heavily utilize our library.

- Better World Books - I love what this company stands for. You can buy used or new books from small bookstores, and support getting books in the hands of those who need them. What more could you ask for? betterworldbooks.com

I’m Laura, homeschooling mom to three. I’m excited to share our homeschooling journey with you. We tend to follow a child led, literature based, unit study approach to homeschooling, but I like to pull ideas from many different educational philosophies. The great thing about home education is that each family and life stage is so different. No two homeschools look the same. My hope is that by sharing my journey, I can offer support, encouragement, and inspiration to help you think outside the box to create a dynamic homeschool experience tailored to your family.
