You see if you are going to believe in the literal "truth" of the bible and take it literally then literally is the only way that we can read it.
In this episode, we go through the generations of Adam which is basically a long list of lived how long before he begot whoever, how much longer he lived, begot sons and daughters: and then he died
Seriously, it's as boring as hell and reads like a telephone directory but not if you read it literally, begot sons and daughters: and then he died
It might just be filler, bunged in there to pad out the pages between the messed up and interesting bits but we are going to have fun with it nonetheless, begot sons and daughters: and then he died.
