Liquid Chromatography or Partition chromatography, is a chromatography technique in which, the particles of solid support are coated with a liquid stationary phase. These particles are packed in the chromatography column. When sample is loaded, it gets dissolved in the liquid stationary phase around the particles. The mobile phase is usually a solvent or mixture of solvent which does not mix easily with the stationary phase. The sample molecules gets separated based on the differences in interaction with the mobile phase and stationary phase.
