HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CUBS: How is this even possible?! Lion cubs Izwi, Ilola, and Tadala are ONE YEAR OLD today! They'll always be adorable 3-pound cubs in our hearts, but the girls are now tipping the scales at around 150 pounds each, and Izwi is almost at 200 pounds. To honor this special day, the cubs and the whole pride were treated to a smorgasbord of delicious snacks crafted by their animal care team and our expert nutritionists. The theme of the day was "Donut Grow Up!" There were donut-shaped ice treats topped with whipped cream, donut "holes" (aka frozen cataloupe), their durable donut enrichment items, and their favorite meat shapped into the number "1."
