Link's secret diary in Breath of the Wild reveals how both failing to become Hyrule’s Hero and as Zelda’s personal knight has affected him. We can discover how Link truly views himself after these events!

Being chosen by the Master Sword and being appointed as Zelda’s personal Knight is a weighty responsibility. He was supposed to be the land’s Hero. But, despite his efforts before the events of Breath of the Wild, he fell in battle.
Link gradually recovers more of his memories throughout Breath of the Wild, including those where Zelda doubts him. With these thoughts in mind, and you ever wondered what Link might be thinking? Does he despise himself after these failures, or does he have the courage to try again?
In Breath of the Wild, Link has recorded all of his thoughts in the adventure log, which is actually his diary in the Japanese version.
With Link’s diary in our hands, we can really dive deep into his feelings and thought processes.
