TWI has recently completed a general support technology programme (GSTP) funded by ESA in partnership with Airbus Defence and Space UK (ADSS). This project aimed to build on the findings from previous ESA-funded activities and support the development and qualification of an LFW based manufacturing route for a satellite part.

This webinar presents the results obtained in this project, aimed at developing and qualifying an LFW based manufacturing route for the fabrication of aerospace structures which enabled potential improvements in manufacturing cost, efficiency, and environmental friendliness. The qualified LFW based manufacturing route was used for the fabrication of a fully functional prototype or representational model, reaching the requirements of Technology Readiness Level 6.
