Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry is an action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft. Set in the French colony of Saint-Domingue (present-day Haiti) between 1735 and 1737, Freedom Cry follows Adéwalé, a prominent supporting character from the 2013 title Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. While attempting to disrupt Templar activities in the Caribbean Sea on behalf of their rival organization, the Brotherhood of Assassins, Adéwalé finds himself shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue, where he comes face-to-face with some of the most brutal slavery practices in the West Indies.
Originally released as a post-launch downloadable content (DLC) expansion pack titled Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag — Freedom Cry, a standalone version that does not require the base game of Black Flag was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 in February 2014. In December 2019, the game was re-released on the Nintendo Switch as part of a compilation titled Assassin's Creed: The Rebel Collection, which also includes Black Flag and its successor, Assassin's Creed Rogue. The story campaign of Freedom Cry, which takes place thirteen years after the events of Black Flag, is loosely connected to its narrative but retains most of its core gameplay mechanics. Writer Jill Murray served as the lead writer for Freedom Cry, while French musician Olivier Deriviere composed the game's soundtrack, replacing Brian Tyler, the composer employed for the base game.
The Xbox One version of Freedom Cry received favorable reviews from video game publications, whereas the overall reception of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360 versions was less positive. Critics generally praised the game's storytelling and the decision to focus on an already established side character, but were disappointed by its short length and the lack of substantial gameplay improvements over Black Flag. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razors Edge[a] is a 2012 action adventure hack and slash game developed by Team Ninja and published by Nintendo. It was released for the Wii U from November 2012 to May 2013, and subsequently released by Tecmo Koei for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in April 2013. It is an enhanced port of Ninja Gaiden 3 that includes all downloadable content from the original title, as well as additional enhancements made to improve the game. The game can be considered an equivalent to the Ninja Gaiden Sigma games, as it makes several changes to the original title.

Grand Theft Auto IV is a 2008 action-adventure game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It is the sixth main entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, following 2004s Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and the eleventh instalment overall. Set in the fictional Liberty City, based on New York City, the single-player story follows Eastern European war veteran Niko Bellic and his attempts to escape his past while under pressure from high-profile criminals. The open world design lets players freely roam Liberty City, consisting of three main islands, and the neighbouring state of Alderney, which is based on New Jersey.
The game is played from a third-person perspective and its world is navigated on foot and by vehicle. Throughout the single-player mode, players control Niko Bellic. An online multiplayer mode is also included with the game, allowing up to 32 players to engage in both cooperative and competitive gameplay in a recreation of the single-player setting.[b] Two expansion packs were later released for the game, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, which both feature new plots that are interconnected with the main Grand Theft Auto IV storyline, and follow new protagonists.
Development of Grand Theft Auto IV began soon after the release of San Andreas and was shared between many of Rockstars studios worldwide. The game introduced a shift to a more realistic and detailed style and tone for the series. Unlike previous entries, Grand Theft Auto IV lacked a strong cinematic influence, as the team attempted an original approach to the story. As part of their research for the open world, the development team conducted extensive field research in New York, capturing over 100,000 photographs and several hours of video. The developers considered the world to be the most important element of the game; though not the largest map in the series, they considered it comparable in scope due to its verticality and level of detail. The budget climbed to over US$100 million, making it one of the most expensive video games to develop.
Grand Theft Auto IV was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in April 2008, and for Windows in December. Upon release, the game received critical acclaim, with praise particularly directed at the narrative and open-world design. Grand Theft Auto IV broke industry sales records and became the fastest-selling entertainment product in history at the time, earning US$310 million in its first day and US$500 million in its first week. Considered one of the most significant titles of the seventh generation of video games, and by many critics as one of the greatest video games of all time, it won year-end accolades, including Game of the Year awards from several gaming publications. It is among the best-selling video games with over 25 million copies sold by 2013. The game generated controversy, with criticism directed at the games depiction of violence and players ability to drink-drive. Its successor, Grand Theft Auto V, was released in September 2013.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes is a 2013 Lego-themed action-adventure video game developed by Travellers Tales and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows,[1] and published by Feral Interactive for OS X.[2] The game features gameplay similar to other Lego titles, such as Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga and Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, alternating between various action adventure sequences and puzzle solving scenarios. The handheld version of the game by TT Fusion was released under the title Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril for iOS, Android, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita.[3] A Nintendo Switch version was released on October 8, 2021.[4]
The games storyline sees various heroes from the Marvel Universe joining forces to foil the schemes of Doctor Doom and Loki, who have also recruited a number of villains to aid them, and seek to conquer the Earth using the Doom Ray of Doom, a device built from the shards of the Silver Surfers board called Cosmic Bricks. Lego Marvel Super Heroes received generally positive reviews, and is currently the best-selling Lego video game of all time.[5] A spin-off titled Lego Marvels Avengers was released on 26 January 2016, and a sequel titled Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 was released on 14 November 2017.

Ubisoft described it as one of the biggest open world games that they have published, with the game world including a wide variety of environments such as mountains, forests, deserts, and salt flats.
Tom Clancys Ghost Recon Wildlands received generally mixed to positive reviews from critics. The game sold over 10 million units by March 2020. A sequel, Tom Clancys Ghost Recon Breakpoint, was released on October 4, 2019.

Marvels Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a 2020 action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Gameplay is presented from the third-person perspective with a primary focus on Miles traversal and combat abilities. Outside the story, the player is able to complete side missions to unlock additional content and collectible items. Combat focuses on chaining attacks together and using the environment, webs, and Venom attacks to incapacitate numerous foes while avoiding damage.
Marvels Spider-Man: Miles Morales was officially revealed in June 2020 and launched in November 2020 on both PlayStation 4 and as a launch title for PlayStation 5. The PS5 version incorporated features made possible with the upgraded hardware, such as real-time ray tracing, native 4K resolution, and a 60 frames-per-second (FPS) Performance Mode. A Windows version was later released in November 2022. The game received generally positive reviews, with praise for its combat, narrative, content, and technical improvements of the PlayStation 4 version, while facing some criticism over its short length. It sold over 6.5 million units by July 2021. Marvels Spider-Man 2, which acts as a sequel to the first game and a direct continuation of Miles Morales, will be released on October 20, 2023, as a PlayStation 5 exclusive.

Remember Me is an action-adventure video game developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Capcom. It was released worldwide in June 2013 for PlayStation 3, Windows, and Xbox 360. The games plot focuses on Nilin, a memory hunter working for an underground resistance called the Errorists. When the game starts, she has been stripped of nearly all her memories by megacorporation Memorize. With the help of a mysterious man named Edge, she goes on a quest to bring down Memorize and recover her lost memories. Throughout the story, she is permitted to use her Memory Remix power to ultimately refurbish peoples recollections. The combat consists of a modified combo system called Pressen.
Remember Me was developed as the debut project of Dontnod Entertainment, with one of the companys founding members Jean-Maxime Moris as its director. Part of his goal for the game was to create a thought-provoking narrative, and eventually settled on a female protagonist to help convey the storys themes. Originally a PlayStation 3-exclusive under Sony titled Adrift, it was cancelled in 2011 and later purchased by Capcom which resurrected it as a multi-platform game. Remember Me received mixed reviews upon release; praise was given to its world design, Olivier Derivieres soundtrack, the ambition of the story and the Memory Remix segments, while the main criticisms laid against other aspects of the story, poor design choices and formulaic combat.

Development of Marvels Spider-Man, the first licensed game by Insomniac in its then-22-year history, began in 2014 and took approximately four years. Insomniac was given the choice of using any character from Marvels catalog to work on; Spider-Man was chosen both for his appeal to the employees and the similarities in traversal gameplay to their previous game Sunset Overdrive (2014). The game design took inspiration from the history of Spider-Man across all media but Marvel Comics and Insomniac wanted to tell an original story that was not linked to an existing property, creating a unique universe (known as Earth-1048) that has since appeared in novels, merchandise, and comics.
Marvels Spider-Man was released for the PlayStation 4 on September 7, 2018. The game received praise for its narrative, characterization, combat, and web-swinging traversal mechanics, though some criticized its open-world design for lacking innovation. Marvels Spider-Man received a number of accolades including being named as one of the best superhero games ever made. It became one of the fastest-selling games of the year and the best-selling PlayStation 4 game of all time, selling over 20 million units by November 2020. Insomniac supported the game extensively after launch, releasing a three-part story expansion titled The City That Never Sleeps and several new alternate costumes for Spider-Man.
