Quite a few people have criticised Oxford's lightweight men for their incoherent technique, and lack of consistency. Many refer to Cambridge to having the better "rhythm" than Oxford. Yet, what is it that makes the difference? How do you get a better rhythm in rowing? What are the fundamental principles of rowing technique, that are quite often overlooked?

In this video analysis, I analyse Oxford's and Cambridge's lightweight men of the 2026 boat race and explain with the @BIOROWER why there are performance differences.
