The Model Context Protocol (MCP) introduces a new way for systems, IDEs, and AI agents to communicate — not through hard-coded plugins, but through self-describing context that any tool can discover and reason about.
In this lightning talk, I’ll share lessons from implementing an MCP server.

Key takeaways:
• How MCP turns APIs into shared memory between tools and agents
• Why schema and relationships remain the foundation of trustworthy context
• How natural language becomes the new abstraction layer for interacting with systems
• What still needs to evolve — from authentication to lifecycle and observability
