Here’s a lifehack for beginners in Adobe Premiere Pro (but more experienced users might also find this useful).

Let’s say you have these 4 clips and you accidentally delete the first one.
If you notice it right away, you can just go up to the menu, click “Edit” and then “Undo”.

But what if you do a lot of changes after that and then you notice that you accidentally deleted a clip that you want to keep?

There is a solution to this.

If you go to the “History” window, you can see all the actions you’ve done in the program with the latest action at the bottom.

If you click your way up from the bottom, you can go back to find your deleted clip. Once you find the clip, and this is important, select it, copy the clip, then without doing any changes, click the latest action in the “History” window and then click paste.

This way, you won’t overwrite all the changes you did after you deleted the clip.

I hope this video helped you, feel free to subscribe to the channel, hit the notification bell and have a nice day!
