It’s been a couple of weeks since my last upload, and some of you reached out to ask if I’m doing okay. The good news is—I’m healthy, happy, and staying busy here on the coast of Ecuador. In this video, I share why I’ve been quiet, what’s been happening locally, and a few personal updates, including my progress with physical therapy to avoid rotator cuff surgery.
I also talk briefly about recent national news, demonstrations, and how it’s (not) affecting us here on the coast. Life here continues with beautiful weather, occasional whale sightings, and the simple reminder to leave your expectations at the airport when visiting Ecuador.
If you’re new here, I have over 400 videos on expat life, retirement, culture, and daily living in Ecuador. Check out my full Video Index (linked in every description) to browse past episodes. Feel free to drop me an email with questions—and stay tuned for more fresh content coming soon!

Remember this folks.
A country might look good on paper, or on a YouTube video, but what about the “Chemistry” between you, the individual and the country and culture as a whole?
This is something we can’t know in advance. We can only make our move, dive in and test the waters…….and see how it goes.
