Lex Luthor is such a brilliant character. Ugh! I'm hopefully going to start my Smallville rewatch soon, and I can't wait to relive all the awesome moments with, not just Lex, but the Luthors! They were such a great aspect of the show!
Lex had such a tragic end to his journey, and I felt kind of robbed when Michael Rosenbaum finally came back to the show only to have his entire journey erased -- mind wipes always seem to annoy me, but most of the time I can look at it from another viewpoint and really understand WHY it had to happen. Its just so tragic. I think they were sort of giving us hope, though, when Lex specifically says something along the lines of "you can never forget memories", so I think, in a way, those memories that were lost will eventually come flooding back. Either way, Lex had one of the best journeys on the show, and even though this video doesn't spotlight his journey, its hard not to ramble on and on about how epic it truly was.
Anyway, this video -- I don't know how to explain it. I heard the song, a version by Jennifer Hudson, which I sort of liked, and started editing to for a Chloe Sullivan video, but then I found a version by Muse and heard this eery, sort of darker tone to it and instantly thought of Lex Luthor, and his determined destiny to be the 'villain of the story.' So, I started making this. The quote at the start is just one of my favourites from him, and thought it might set the tone of the video from the start. I hope you guys like it! Lex Luthor is a bad ass! XD
Oh, and I'm going to try and hopefully vid Lex more often -- I'd love to make a video that spotlights a bit of his journey, rather than focusing on one singular aspect (in this case, his evil side, lol). But yeah, expect some more Lex videos! :D
