Knitting tops from the neck down are very trendy now, especially with raglan sleeves. I thought it would be nice to have a few options to make these raglans increases in pretty patterns, sometimes the only pattern in a simple stockinette stitch sweater.

Pattern for practice:
Cast on an even number of stitches and place a marker half way. On my sample I cast on 8 stitches and place a marker after four stitches.

Row 1 (RS): Knit until 2 stitches before marker, YO, Cable 1 Right, slip marker, Cable 1 Left, YO, knit to end.

Row 2 (WS): P all stitches, purling the YOs through the back loop.
