Saying that we need to 'save' Fillyjonk's children makes the situation sound more dangerous than it is. They're in no actual trouble but trying to persuade their mother of this would be futile, so off we go once again to 'save the day'.
That being said, what follows after that is a genuinely perilous predicament for one of the residents of Moominvalley. It's doubtlessly not helped by them giving up at the first sign of things going wrong, but Moomintroll isn't about to let things get worse for them if he can help it.

Now that we finally have the local currency of Tarna, Derek is free to spend the rest of his time in the city buying everything that isnt nailed down. After all, if someone is willing to sell it to us then its bound to have a use at some point in the game. Even the more mundane things like fish and fruit can act as extra rations and while we dont need to track our thirst like we did in Shapeir, waterskins will serve their own awesome purpose in due time.
Having spendable money is als how were going to access our very first death and my, is it a silly one. All Ill say is that it involves the apothecarys store, our tinderbox and not knowing when enough is enough.
