On the third episode of Let's Play Grounded, Pete has been given his great quest by BURG.L to track down his memory chips in Dr. Tully's labs. But, before we're ready to head to the first lab in the Hedge, we'll need to do a bit of exploring in order to gear up. In our exploration we meet a number of new Yard inhabitants, including the nocturnal Firefly. Having benefited from the red ants picking fights with other insects, we're able to make the powerful Red Ant Club to replace our little Spiky Sprig. Our travels lead us closer and closer to the Hedge, and into even more dangers on the way. Finally, beneath the Hedge itself we find Berries that can be turned into Berry Leather, which we'll need in order to make some of the Tier 2 gear. We then set up a campsite next to the Ascent, where we'll have to climb up and through the Hedge to reach the lab perched on its branches. Our first attempt to climb is interrupted by ABYSSAL levels of darkness, so instead I turn back and head to the Mysterious Machine camp to make a few more pieces of gear.

On this episode of First Impressions, weve taken shelter in boarded up apartment and watched for six months as the world outside and everyone in it were transformed into an endless bio-mechanical hellscape. Deciding that this most definitely isnt going to blow over, we grab our revolver and cobbled together saw spear and fight our way outside through rusting metal and concrete fused with pulsing flesh. Which is really inside some kind of giant maw extending into the sky. While the weapons of the creatures that were once people are biologically locked to whatever they are now, there are still a few old guns lying around to be found to make things a little more manageable.

When enraged, hes also capable of charging up a huge supernova explosion.
