Age of Empires II: Von Kimbern und Teutonen, which translates as "Of Cimbri and Teutons", is an unofficial expansion pack for Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings. It was developed and published by Computec Media, and originally released in early 2001 in Germany.
The expansion pack adds four new campaigns to the base game which focus on the history of the German people from Roman times to the Battle of Vienna. Players play as the Teutons, Franks, and Goths in scenarios based on various historical battles.
Von Kimbern und Teutonen was released after Age of Empires II's official expansion, The Conquerors, but is intended to be used with only the base game. It does not modify the Age of Empires II, and merely adds custom campaigns and scenarios. The add-on comes in a DVD case, which contains a rather thick manual with historical background information, details on the game's civilisations, and hints for the new scenarios.
