The siren song of the fresh journal calls to me. It whispers ‘2026 is basically here’, ‘I could be the journal that helps you change your life’ and ‘honestly, who cares about any of that, I’m just a pretty journal, that’s literally enough, buy me.’ And I yearn to press that add to cart button, I dream of the sweet sweet dopamine hit of a pretty cover and blank pages of possibilities. But. Before I give into temptation there is one thing I must do:
**Finish my 2025 journal**
So today we’re achieving that goal. I’m going to share how to actually finish your yearly journal so you can purchase your new one guilt-free. My goals are that, by the end of this video, I will have:
1. finished my journal (minus a little space for December)
2. used up all my junk stash - anything that doesn’t get used is getting binned, it’s time. and
3. chosen my 2026 journal
And I, of course, have a step-by-step plan for this that you can hopefully take inspiration from when it comes to finishing your own journals for this year. So let’s go!
