Xponentialdesign Tutorials & Video Marketplace | Let's create an 8-bit city skyline loop with Trapcode Particular & After Effects @xponentialdesign | Uploaded October 2016 | Updated October 2024, 4 hours ago.
--- 45:00 to skip the preliminaries ---
Today we're going to hit 2 birds with 1 stone!! I mean... not that we're really going to produce any aviairy casualties but, in this demonstration, we'll look at how to set up a looping cityscape in 3d space with trapcode Particular with parametric parallax AND make an oldschool video game pixel look. It's going to be a bit different that what's usually on the menu because we're going to look at how to set this up step by step creating our own custom particle with native after effects custom shapes. We are going tu use layer maps in Trapcode form to create flickering windows. It's going to be one hell of a ride
We are going to tackle the infamous "split clip loop" situation. We'll get to talk about one of many ways to create a retro effect with the retroDither plugin from aescripts.
