This is a musical sequencer made out of lego. There's a row of eight spots to put legos, representing notes. Each color is a different pitch. As blue LEDs light up along the row, each note gets played. There's a slider to control the tempo, too.
The lego sequencer was constructed by Ben Judge using the amazing LogoChip ( http://www.wellesley.edu/Physics/Rberg/logochip/ ), a PIC microcontroller running an interpreter for the easy to use logo language.
