Watch a mechanical oscillator whose frequency is regulated by tension springs. The springs are calibrated to produce different frequencies.

A retainer plate within the spring can be turned like a nut onto bolt to change K, the spring constant.

An animation displays Simple Harmonic Motion with a frequency of 1/2π Hz on a moving time scale. First, zooming in with microsecond resolution, then, zooming out with 5-second ticks, and finally, back to microseconds.
