As Hot Creations celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2025, label co-founder Lee Foss makes a long-awaited return to the imprint for the first time in half a decade with a powerful new collaboration alongside Colorado-based talent GS5. Titled ‘In The Ghetto’, the two-track release sees one of the label’s originators link up with a standout new-school voice for a release that bridges eras, aesthetics, and dancefloors.
“It’s always exciting to come back to the label that started it all for me,” says Foss. “Jamie and I put so much into Hot Creations in those early days, and it set up my career for so much success. ‘In The Ghetto’ feels like the perfect release to return with. It has some of the deep, soulful, and abstract elements that marked my early work on the label, merged with the modern, skippy, minimal and techy trademarks of today. GS5 is an exciting new artist from Denver who reached out with some cool demos and was interested in collaborating, and I knew as soon as we got to work that these would be perfect for HC.”
Lead track ‘In The Ghetto’ hits with low-slung swagger and vibrant vocal energy, channelling a bass-heavy strut and hypnotic vocal loops that nod to early Hot Creations flavours while pushing into contemporary terrain. On the flip, ‘Hardest’ brings a tougher-edged groove and hazy late-night vibe, peppered with sharp percussion and warped vocal work to bring after-hours pressure.
GS5 adds: “With Hot Natured being some of my earliest introductions to electronic music, this release means the world to me. Being given the opportunity to work with one of my biggest inspirations and to land this on his label with Jamie Jones is a dream come true.”
A pioneering force in the evolution of modern house music, Lee Foss has left an indelible mark on global dance culture through his work as a producer, DJ, and label head. From shaping a new era with Hot Natured to launching his chart-topping Repopulate Mars imprint, Foss continues to set the tone across the scene, and his return arrives just days before he joins the Paradise family once again at UNVRS in Ibiza on 17th September. GS5, meanwhile, has been quickly rising through the ranks, making noise with releases on Hood Politics and Material Series and making appearances for Experts Only and range. With heavy support from both Hot Creations co-founders, he’s building a reputation as a name to know when it comes to talents causing a stir stateside.

After dropping impressive solo releases on Hot Creations and making standout appearances at Paradise across the year, in-demand pair OMRI. and Rafael join forces on ‘Little Kitty’. Having both surged into the spotlight of the international house circuit, delivering tracks and sets that have dominated dancefloors worldwide, this collaboration unites their distinct styles for the first time - serving up a track so in-demand that label boss Jamie Jones played it in nearly every set this summer at [UNVRS] Ibiza.
A sleek and propulsive cut built around infectious, provocative female vocals, warping bass links, and a slick groove, ‘Little Kitty’ captures the effortless synergy between the two producers, balancing Rafael’s instinct for sharp, floor-focused rhythms with OMRI.’s trippy and hypnotic touches for a dynamic track made for all hours of the night.
The label boss and visionary behind Collecting Dots Records, OMRI. (pronounced Omri Dot) has quickly cemented his place as a distinctive voice in the global electronic realm. From his Crosstown Rebels release ‘Nothing Wrong’ being named Essential New Tune by Pete Tong and hitting #1 on the Beatport House chart, through to his Hot Creations anthem ‘Dance All Night (Don’t Wanna Fight)’ topping the Indie Dance chart, recent releases and his BBC Radio 1 Club Heat Mix have only further underlined his growing influence.
His collaborator, Rafael, has also made his mark with a reputation for powerful productions and precision behind the decks, earning consistent support from artists such as Michael Bibi, Diplo, CamelPhat, and Jamie Jones. Having previously appeared on OMRI.’s Collecting Dots label, ‘Little Kitty’ marks the pair’s debut studio collaboration - a moment that feels both natural and long overdue.
