One of my favorite, open source tools for language learning is/was Learning With Texts (LWT) which is basically a free alternative to LingQ (Steve Kaufmann).

Overnight, both LWT and FLTR (a similar project) were erased from Sourceforge citing a mysterious legal dispute with a link back to LingQ. Steve Kaufmann has assured us that he is not involved.

So the question remains: who threatened legal action and why?
