And yes, I realize that I probably should have just started with 3D pocketing from the get go. The 2D calculation was a bit of an academic exercise, but the same type of math would allow people in Carbide Create to also pocket out shapes with a V-bit.

Signs and plaques make great beginner projects, because you get to make all sorts of designs using really basic elements. Here are two projects I made for my friends.
I originally wasnt going to add a commentary track to this video, but I learned so many little things (like cheap wood sucks) that I figured it might actually be something sharable.

Feeling like Id been bestowed a secret weapon for machining plastics, I set out on a quest to discover the limits of the Shapeoko, and some specialized cutters. Little did I know that cellular PVC might as well have been styrofoam for how easily it cut.
At least I got a way to organize my hardware out of it...
