This video will walk you through a simple wire wrapping project using a drilled bead to make an elegant pendant.
Materials needed:
• 12 inches of 22 gauge round wire, dead soft (the example is silver plated craft wire)
• 4 inches of 26 gauge round wire, dead soft (28 gauge will work)
• 1 glass pearl 3mm (a shell pearl, real pearl, or any other 3mm bead can be substituted)
• 1 pendant bead, drilled top to bottom, approximately 15x30 mm (the example is a rounded rectangle, amethyst bead with a slight twist. An oval or rectangle bead will work fine)
Tools used:
• a 5mm round mandrel
• wire cutters
• chain nose pliers
The pendant in the video is part of a complete jewelry kit that includes all materials to make the basic pendant, plus a matching necklace. There is also a matching pair of earrings and a bracelet you can make and wear. Together, with the necklace and pendant, they make up the Amethyst Sky Jewelry set.
