Well, I decided to take a break from documenting history, to do a good old-fashioned Blender logo remake! First of all, I used Inkscape's "Trace Bitmap" feature to "vectorise" this image from Logopedia: logos.wikia.com/wiki/File:LBS_Communications.png
I then imported this into Blender and did a whole bunch of other stuff, involving cameras, lighting, meshes, curves, etc., which you can see if you download the BLEND files: vigovproductions.net/history/LBS_blends.zip
To be honest, it felt like I was using tools fundamentally identical to those used to make the original in 1987! Of course, in reality, it must have been very different...
