Despite the popular media spin, it is not "anti-government" to insist that government abide by its own founding legal charter, the Constitution. In reality, requesting that government honor its own founding legal charter is as pro-government as Americans can be.
The service to our communities by the majority of honorable, decent, conscientious officers is deeply appreciated. The Mental Militia discourages the blind, robot-like, automatic, unquestioning following of orders that is the attitude being taught in training academies these days. I have written a five-part article in 2011 regarding the wrongful death-by-SWAT at Tucson, Arizona in which the Sheriff's Department fed local news stations blatant lies and got caught. In that series of articles I trace the "Policy" as it comes down from DHS through the Fusion Centers into State, County, and Local enforcement offices and agencies and produces the travesty which now embarrasses the Sheriff's Department at Pima County, Arizona, as well as costing that County $3,000,000.00 in Vanessa Guerena's wrongful death lawsuit. We highly respect officers who practice "Officer's Discretion" when applicable. We understand that good cops owe it to their communities to expose the wrongs committed by bad cops in today's modern police-state surveillance-state corporatized enforcement community which is neatly now organized into what then-Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen described in 1999 as ---
