Wow. Twins no less!
In going back over this film I notice that the reason the one deer pawed at one of the fawns was because the fawn had approached her as if she was the fawn's mommy.
These fawns are very new to this world, and just as we humans have much to learn, so too do they.
I marvel that brand new babies of all species know to tag along with their mothers. Just today I had a family of Red Breasted Nuthatches come to my porch, where mommy and daddy taught their babies how to work the old man for some treats. At one point I had two of them sitting on my hand eating pecan chips and a third sitting on top of my head, lol! They were not afraid of me bacause their parents demonstrated that I was "safe" by approaching my outstretched hand themselves while the young birds watched.
I absolutely love such magical joyful moments.
